How to file Oklahoma Articles of Organization
- Pick a name with "limited liability company," "limited company," "LLC," "LC," "L.L.C." or "L.C." It must be distinguishable from other corporations, LLCs and reserved names on file. A free name search is on the Secretary of State's site.
- Name a registered agent with an Oklahoma street address (no P.O. boxes). It can be the LLC itself, an Oklahoma resident, or a domestic or qualified foreign business, and it must keep an office open during regular business hours.
- Complete Form 0073. It asks for the name, the principal place of business street address, an email for the primary contact, the registered agent and the term of existence. No members are listed. File online through the Entity Filing page (guest checkout is available), or mail it to the Secretary of State at 421 NW 13th Street, Suite 210, Oklahoma City, OK 73103, with a check payable to the Oklahoma Secretary of State.
- Watch your email. The state sends notice of the annual certificate only to the email you list.
- Calendar your anniversary date. The first annual certificate is due on the anniversary of your registration.
